STANDARD CLUBS: Standard clubs are provided by a member of the Skyline PTO. Discounts of 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% are available for those who need them. Discounts are funded from the Skyline PTO.

PREMIUM CLUBS: Premium clubs are provided in partnership with outside organizations. Discounts of 25% or 50% are available for those who need them. Two scholarship spots are available per club: email clubs@skylinepto.org for a scholarship. Discounts and scholarships are funded from the Skyline PTO.

 FUN WITH FUNGI (Grades 3-5)
When: 9/29 – 12/8 Tuesdays until 4:45pm,10 sessions (no club 11/24)
Instructors: Jacob Rosenblum, Damas Samson
Where: Room 23 (Mr. Nylen’s Room)
Cost: $40 (Standard Club)
About: Two fun guys are ready to explore the World of Fungi with you! Learn all about edible and cool-looking mushrooms, found anywhere from the schoolyard to the forest. Each session, we will forage for fungi, learn to identify mushrooms, and create different types of mushroom art! We will teach how to safely interact with these forest friends. Mr. Nylen will be a guest instructor. 

CERAMICS: Hanging Signs and Ornaments (Grades 3-5)
When: 10/1 – 12/10 Thursdays until 4:45pm,9 sessions (no club 11/19 or 11/26)
Instructors: Jesse Hughs (owner of Uncle Jesse’s Pottery) & Lindsey Parker
Where: Red Solarium
Cost: $80 (Premium Club)
About: This hands-on course introduces kids to the art of pottery. Students will create a wall hanging sign that they get to personalize. They will learn how to make a clay slab into the design of their choosing, carve designs in the clay, and use paint-on glazes to finalize their project. They will also get to make some seasonal ornaments. All under the expert guidance of local artist Jesse Hughs, whose pottery shop can be found in downtown Ferndale.

• Is your child signing up for a club this quarter? Consider volunteering to help make the club a success! We want at least 2 adults at each club event to make it easier for everyone and to keep everyone safe.
• Do you have a hobby or activity that you are passionate about and want to share with Skyline students? Lead an after school club in Winter or Spring! This is a great way to contribute and connect to the Skyline Community. We are always on the lookout for volunteers to help out with clubs. You can meet your child’s friends by volunteering in the club that they are participating in!

You may have noticed that all the clubs this season are for 3-5th grade. This is to give the younger students more time to adjust to school without adding more on. We plan to offer clubs for the younger grades in the coming seasons!
