SKYLINE PTO BEFORE/AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS – SPRING 2024
Registration deadline is Tuesday, April 9. Please read descriptions below and register online here. Program fees can be paid online or use code CHECK to pay by check or cash for PTO-run clubs (to pay via check/cash for our partner-run Pottery or Frisbee clubs, contact clubs@skylinepto.org). Please make checks out to Skyline PTO and place in an envelope with student’s name, teacher, and club name. Scholarship discounts available when registering.
ART CLUB (Grades K-2) {REGISTRATION FULL}
When: 4/17 – 6/5 | Wednesdays 3:30 to 4:30pm (no club on half days 5/1 and 5/22)
Where: Library
Instructor: Jennifer and Molly Grahame
Cost: $25 suggested fee.
About: Join us for a chance to make fun art together! Each session will include a short lesson in an art technique and lots of time to create individual projects. All supplies are included.
BEGINNER POTTERY (Grades 1-5)
When: 4/11 – 5/30 | Thursdays 3:30 to 5:00pm
Where: Red Solarium
Instructor: Uncle Jesse’s Pottery
Cost: $105; 2 PTO-sponsored scholarships available – contact clubs@skylinepto.org for info.
About: This hands-on course introduces kids to the art of pottery. Students will create pinch pots using stoneware glazes and food-safe glazes. They will shape the clay bowls, carve designs in the clay, and use paint-on glazes to finalize the bowls, all under the expert guidance of local artist Jesse Hughs, whose pottery shop can be found in downtown Ferndale.

FLAG FOOTBALL AND FUN (Grades 3-5)
When: 4/17 – 6/5 | Wednesdays 3:30 to 4:30pm (no club on half days 5/1 and 5/22; activity bus available)
Where: Gym + field

Cost: $25 suggested fee.

MARVELOUS MISS MARATHONERS (Girls Grades 3-5)
When: 4/18 – 5/30 | Thursdays 3:30 to 4:30pm (activity bus available)
Where: Gym + track
Instructor: Mrs. Lacey Stone and Ms. Hadley Moore
Cost: $25 suggested fee.
About: During this hour we’ll have fun together, talk about making healthy choices, play fitness games, walk and jog outside, and do some stretching too!

MORNING OPEN TRACK (Grades K-5)
When: Monday-Friday, 8:45-9:15am
Where: Skyline Track
Coaches: Mrs. Buckham, Ms. Whitener, Teacher Angie, Ms. Frizell
Cost: Free
Students can come run, walk, jog or skip around the track before school – it’s a great way to release some energy and get your brain ready to learn! Once you’ve completed this online permission slip for your student(s), they can attend any Open Track session – families are always welcome to join them too! Students will get to use Teacher Angie’s fun system to track their laps – they mark each lap off on their lap card, and for every 10 laps they add a bead to their necklace. Once they hit 100 laps, they earn a Skyline 100 Lap Club water bottle!
Once a parent has filled out the online permission form (only needed once per year), students are welcome to come to any and all open track days!
